Platform Systems Engineering and Integration – Summer Internship
Job Description:
The Platform Systems Engineering and Integration directorate serves to fill an important role as a system and spatial integrator of complex submarine designs. Members of each of the teams within our directorate work across disciplines to ensure that the individual components and subsystems of a submarine function as an integrated system. Our focus on cross discipline integration is increasingly more important as the complexity of our products grows to provide the US and allied the Navies with the required warfighting capability to outpace our adversaries.
The Platform Systems Engineering and Integration directorate supports all major current and future submarine design programs at Electric Boat. Our directorate is specifically responsible for the application of systems engineering tenets and the integration of the submarine’s arrangement. These responsibilities range from supporting platform level concept development and requirement definition, to detailed systems and arrangement integration, to system demonstration and requirement verification. Our directorate also functions as an integrator of current and future payload systems (e.g., missiles, countermeasures, etc.)
As a summer intern in the Platform Systems Engineering and Integration directorate, you’ll be in a unique position to be exposed to a wide range of engineering and design disciplines at Electric Boat.
