Position Summary:   JOIN AN OUTSTANDING TEAM AT THE MEDICAL COLLEGE OF WISCONSIN AND CHILDREN'S WISCONSIN The Department of Anesthesiology at Children’s Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Fellowship-trained Anesthesiologist with a specialty in cardiac anesthesia to join our perioperative team. The Section of Pediatric Anesthesiology provides care to more than 30,000 children annually in perioperative anesthesia, critical care, and pain medicine settings. Our pediatric anesthesiologists practice in a collaborative and supportive environment with world-class surgical and medical staff to provide opportunities for developing clinical excellence in a range of subspecialty services, that are integral in the academic, research, educational, and quality improvement missions of the institutions.     Position Highlights:   Join an anesthesia service that currently consists of 38 pediatric anesthesiologists, 8 of those specializing in cardiac care, that practice at both CW’s Milwaukee Campus and regional sites surrounding Milwaukee.  Engage in a busy practice that includes both OR as well as non-OR sites at CW’s Milwaukee Campus with a team of fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists and a growing team of medically directed Anesthesiology Assistants and Certified Registered Nursing Assistants. Since its inception the department has experienced robust clinical, scientific, and academic growth; and has been consistently recognized on regional, national and international levels for leadership and innovation. The Department of Anesthesiology has a team of 140 Anesthesiologists, 46 Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants, 65 Certified Registered Nursing Anesthetists, 21 Advanced Practice Professionals, and 86 Residents and Fellows. We provide more than 63,000 anesthetics annually, in more than 100 anesthetizing locations our operating rooms and out-of-operating room locations in our five hospitals and four surgery centers.  Our well-established research division utilizes both clinical and preclinical research approaches to generate critical new knowledge and advance anesthesia care delivery. Qualifications Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent)  from an accredited institution.   Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
