Organization: Pediatric Audiology Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY Evaluates, treats and counsels patients with hearing and vestibular disorders to improve communication function and postural stability independently. Initiates collaboration with health care team to meet patient care, outcomes and system improvement objectives. Responsibilities include: Perform comprehensive pediatric diagnostic audiologic evaluations Conduct natural-sleep Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing Perform behavioral audiometry, Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) testing, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, and speech audiometry Evaluate, fit, verify, and manage pediatric hearing aids and amplification devices Conduct bone conduction device consultations, fittings, and follow-up care Provide hearing aid troubleshooting, verification, and ongoing support Educate and counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss, amplification options, communication development, and treatment recommendations Develop individualized care plans and treatment recommendations Collaborate with Pediatric ENT physicians, speech-language pathologists, educators, and other pediatric specialists Document patient care and treatment plans within the electronic medical record Support pediatric audiology services across Vanderbilt Health locations as needed Qualifications Required Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited program Tennessee Audiology license or eligibility for Tennessee licensure Preferred Experience in Pediatric Audiology Experience conducting diagnostic audiologic evaluations Experience with hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and follow-up care Experience with bone conduction devices and amplification technology Experience performing ABR testing and pediatric hearing assessments Commitment to family-centered care and collaborative practice New graduates with strong pediatric clinical training are encouraged to apply.
