Overview Piedmont Henry Hospital Medical-Surgical ICU  It’s Time to Get Better at Piedmont! Join us at Piedmont as we continue to grow! We are a 40 bed Medical/Surgical fast-paced, high acuity Intensive Care Unit staffed with Critical Care Intensivists/APPs 24/7. Also included in our staff mix are Registered nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care technicians. Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:2/ 1:3. ICU 40 Beds • Sepsis and Multi‐System Organ failure management • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) • Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) for post cardiac arrest • Advanced Invasive & Non‐Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring o Arterial lines o Flotrac/EV 1000 o Central Venous Catheters • EKOS Ultrasound Accelerated Thrombolysis  • Intra‐Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) • Impella • Titration of vasopressors • Titration of continuous paralytics • Use of BIS monitor /TOF monitor • Management of Pacemakers  • Complex Respiratory Failure patients requiring advanced ventilatory support • Post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention • Acute Stroke Care with Alteplase management • Management of Shock to include cardiac, septic, hypovolemic. • Management of neurosurgical patients including care of external ventricular devices • Patients with ARDS requiring manual prone therapy  Responsibilities The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy. Qualifications Education H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred Work Experience No experience required 1 year of patient care experience Preferred Licenses and Certifications BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred Certification from a Patient Care Technician program Preferred Business Unit : Company Name Piedmont Henry Hospital
