Paratransit Quality Control Specialist GVC II | Bronx, NY Full-Time | Varied Shifts Pay: $20.00/hr Start Your Career in Transportation and Maintenance GVC II is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Paratransit Quality Control Specialist to help keep our vehicles fueled, clean, inspected, and ready to serve. This is a hands-on role supporting daily fleet readiness and yard operations. You’ll work around our maintenance operation, build relationships with mechanics and leadership, and gain valuable transportation experience with opportunities to grow into positions such as Mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor, or Paratransit Driver . What You’ll Do Fuel, inspect, and reposition paratransit vehicles Maintain accurate fuel, inventory, and variance records Check vehicles for visible damage and report concerns Inspect tires, fluids, supplies, and general vehicle condition Clean vehicles and help ensure they are ready for service Maintain clean and organized yard, fueling, and building areas Respond to spills and follow established safety procedures Communicate vehicle, maintenance, supply, and safety issues to the appropriate team Support other fleet, yard, and facility-related duties as assigned What We’re Looking For Must be at least 21 years old High school diploma or equivalent Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Able to perform physical and hands-on work throughout the shift Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Interest in developing a career in transportation, fleet maintenance, or operations GVC II Benefits GVC II employees receive a competitive union benefits package that includes: Medical, dental, and vision coverage with employee contribution based on a percentage of the current medical rate 1 week of vacation after 1 year of service 2 PTO days Paid birthday Paid holidays in accordance with the applicable agreement Seniority-based increases $25,000 company-paid life insurance Annual boot allowance Union 401(k) Annual union-negotiated pay increases Why Join GVC II?
