Building Location: Ada EMS Department: 1424270 AMBULANCE - ADA EMS Job Description: Responds to all emergent and non-emergent calls and/or hospital codes; provides medical support and care for patients in the pre-hospital and/or hospital environment. Assists in the ongoing assessment of patients by identifying the patient’s needs and requirements to determine best course of treatment. Provides advanced medical care and basic life support service to patients using appropriate medical equipment, devices and treatment modalities. Provides care in accordance with the scope of care authorized in the State in which they are operating. Education Qualifications: Required Qualifications: State Background check must provide clearance to work with vulnerable adults Driving Requirements: Must have 2 years drivers experience (MVR) Over 75 years of age require medical permission Drivers 21 years and older with Paramedic licensure, must meet MVR requirements Drivers 18-20 with Paramedic licensure, must meet MVR requirements of Young Driver Probation AND will be placed in Young Driver Probation (MVR every 6 months and completed probation form) East, Brainerd Lakes, West Markets: (Except for West-Fargo department 12501 - does not require these items to be listed in Work Experience) NIMS 100, 200, 700 Over 75, need to have medical permission Licensure/Certification Qualifications: All Markets: State licensure/certification as a Paramedic or a Registered Nurse authorized to operate as a Paramedic in the appropriate state of practice.
