Outpatient Referral Coordinator

Overview Shifts Available:  Days  Employment Type:  Full Time  Hours:  8-hour shifts  Location:  Outpatient Therapy – North Flower Mound – Flower Mound, TX  We are seeking an  Outpatient Referral Coordinator,  sometimes referred to as Patient Referral Coordinator or Medical Referral Coordinator. The Outpatient Referral Coordinator manages referral activities for assigned clinics while helping ensure accurate patient, insurance, and authorization information. This role also supports daily clinic operations through scheduling, patient communication, record management, and other administrative duties.  Responsibilities Manage incoming and outgoing patient referrals and coordinate with other departments  Verify insurance coverage, obtain required authorizations, and confirm patient demographic information  Schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in and registration  Answer incoming calls and communicate referral or appointment information to patients and providers  Maintain patient charts, records, and other administrative documentation  Qualifications 1. High School Graduate or equivalent. 2. One year of medical office experience 3. Knowledge of standard insurance companies and verification requirements. 4. Familiar with Medical billing, Insurances and program processes preferred. 5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
