Orderly - Surgical Services Preop/PACU

Job Description: Position Summary Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, and/or charge nurse, the orderly is responsible for performing routine cleaning and stocking duties and assisting RN staff with patient care. Performs duties according to the policy and procedures of CHOMP and the department. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of work, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, and good public/customer relations. Experience One year Nursing Assistance and Orderly duties in an acute care hospital or free-standing ambulatory surgical center preferred. Knowledge of materials management, stocking, and inventory processes helpful. Must have basic computer skills. Education High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Licensure/Certifications American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required. Equal Opportunity Employer Assigned Work Hours: 1.0 FTE Varied shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., depending on the surgical schedule and patient care needs Position Type: Regular Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience): $31.01 to $41.50 The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.
