Operations, Maintenance & Monitoring Project Manager

What we are looking for SCS Engineers is seeking an Operations, Maintenance & Monitoring (OM&M) Project Manager for our Long Beach, California office. In this role, you will lead OM&M projects throughout the Los Angeles area and collaborate with field staff and our Engineering group to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment. You will also help shape regional and national strategy, strengthen client relationships, support business growth, and deliver innovative, high-quality service. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and contributes beyond day-to-day project delivery. You will lead and mentor OM&M staff, help expand the OM&M Practice, and support the design and construction of environmental control infrastructure. Expand relationships with existing clients to grow revenue and diversify services. Lead employee engagement initiatives. Coach and develop staff so they can meet client needs and SCS expectations. Client and Business Development Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Partner with other leaders to develop plans for expanding our environmental services and business. Anticipate client needs and develop practical solutions. Increase the value of the services we provide to existing clients. Project Delivery and Technical Responsibilities Mentor field staff and help troubleshoot field issues, including flare operations. Review laboratory data and prepare compliance monitoring reports. Support landfill and landfill gas system permitting and design, including plans, specifications, and construction documents. Manage environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance under RCRA, CERCLA, CAA, SDWA, CWA, and NEPA. Oversee fieldwork in varied terrain and weather, including surveys, data collection, construction quality assurance, inspections, sample collection, well drilling, and gas collection system construction. Complete office-based work such as report writing, data review, site plans, facility diagrams, and permit applications. Follow all client and company policies, including requirements for health and safety, security, and ethics. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, environmental engineering, another engineering discipline, or an environmental science field preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil engineering preferred. HAZWOPER certification preferred. At least eight years of related work experience required. At least three years of experience with an environmental consulting firm required. Valid driver’s license and a driving record in good standing required. Pay Range USD $100,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
