Job Details Radiology Admin | Miamisburg | Full-time | First Shift  Responsibilities & Requirements The Nuclear Medicine Quality Specialist supports patient safety and care outcomes by developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance programs for nuclear medicine services. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and provides education to staff on best practices and safety protocols. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience as required by state law.  Required Work Experience Three to five years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist or in a directly related imaging discipline. Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine Technology or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Valid Ohio Department of Health Radiologic License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire).  Skills   Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, quality assurance principles, and regulatory standards Proficiency with imaging equipment and quality control tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective verbal and written communication Ability to educate and train staff Attention to detail Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and quality management software Essential Functions  Develops, implements, and monitors quality assurance and quality control programs for nuclear medicine services in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including Ohio Department of Health, Joint Commission, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory changes and updates departmental policies and procedures accordingly. Develops and delivers training and educational programs for nuclear medicine technologists and related staff on quality standards and safety protocols. Investigates, documents, and reports incidents or deviations from standard procedures, implementing corrective actions as needed. Collaborates with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to promote best practices and continuous quality improvement. Monitors and enforces compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and HIPAA requirements. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports related to quality assurance activities and regulatory compliance. Participates in internal and external inspections, surveys, and accreditation reviews as required.
