Summary: Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic   will have previous working knowledge of hydraulic systems, electronic controls, electrical circuitry, schematics, and a basic knowledge of diesel engine repair. Pay:   $30 to $31 hourly (Depending on experience) Benefits at Parsec Exceptional Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) Company paid life insurance Voluntary Benefits Paid Weekly Paid Time Off Opportunity for growth Heavy Equipment Mechanic   Responsibilities: Follow a checklist of inspection procedures Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions (NO CDL REQUIRED) Read and interpret diagnostic test results from diagnostic equipment such as Cummings Insite Raise trucks, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment. Willingness to work in varying weather conditions Valid Driver’s License Experience with maintaining heavy equipment in either the Construction, Transportation, or Intermodal Industry Mi-Jack or Taylor Manufacture Brand experience a plus. Documents the repair according to an established reporting system, verbally and in writing Performs light welding when required Other duties as assign Documented successful completion of lawful post-offer, pre-employment checks including criminal background check and drug screening. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Frequent standing, walking, balancing while walking on elevated catwalks, bending, and grasping. Will walk up to three miles within a shift. Occasional sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, lifting and the ability to lift more than 50lbs.
