Learn more on our Benefits page.  Responsibilities The Medical Assistant (MA) supports the medical practice providers and nurses in providing medical or technical procedures and assists with patient flow and care. Specific duties include taking vital signs, giving handouts, graphing height, weight, blood-pressure, giving injections and ensuring that appropriate tests are completed prior to doctor's examination. Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required  3 months of experience in the medical field required Licenses and Certifications  BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required  Disclaimers • Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.• If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
