SUMMARY: The Mechanical Manager   is responsible for   leading the overall management of the mechanical trades for a project, in both an estimating and preconstruction capacity. This role   is responsible for   understanding the deliverables, developing a work plan, and   identifying   resources   required , while coordinating with the Lead Estimating Manager / Preconstruction Manager.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field or equivalent   relevant   experience   A minimum of five   (5) years’ experience in estimating for commercial construction   Experience leading the bidding and budgeting process for the mechanical trades for a project   Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction management, including safety, quality,   constructability   and sustainability standards   Leadership level communication and organization skills   TECHNICAL JOB KNOWLEDGE:                                                    Leads budget / bid / GMP assembly for the trade specialization                                                                                               Prepares detailed estimates   at all phases of design ;   p roficient in Division 15                              Manages and coordinates division   15 with all other   d ivisions   Leads constructability reviews for the mechanical trades   Leads the development of specific systems analyses and creation of Value Engineering and Alternates lists / logs    Researches   and compiles historical data for use in future estimate and bid preparation      Participates   in design progress / project meetings and client presentations    Owns   responsibility   for overall trade partner / supplier coverage and effective communication and management ;   s trategically   identifies   and aligns the most qualified trade partners for the market sector and scope     Counsels,   educates   and coaches staff to help them develop necessary job skills   Builds relationships with trade partners / suppliers,   clients   and design teams   CORE COMPETENCIES FOR THE ROLE: Autonomy + Accountability   Decisions are guided by policies,   procedures   and business plan;   receives   guidance and oversight from   manager s   Typically   does not perform the work supervised    Accountable for work of others    Business Impact   Impacts   own team, adjacent teams, and teams company-wide   Decisions are made without oversight and affect the success of the department / revenue group    Guides, influences and persuades others either internally in other   project   / departments or externally   Contributes to strategic market sector / department business development planning   Talent Development   May have formal management responsibilities    Provides feedback to team members   Adapts plans and priorities to meet project / department / company goals   Creates opportunities for growth and development of team members    Problem Solving + Resiliency   Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions    Takes a new perspective on existing solutions   Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information     DAVIS CORE VALUES:   TRUST   Excellence in Service   –   Fulfilling our clients’ highest expectations   Inclusion   –   Ensuring a culture of respect and acceptance, where all employees have a sense of purpose and belonging   Integrity   –   Exhibiting honesty and fairness while holding ourselves accountable for our actions   Building Relationships   –   Creating and   maintaining   strong partnerships through leadership, creative   solutions   and hard work   T he base salary (or hourly) range for this position is $105,000.00 - $135,000.00 DAVIS is committed to providing our employees with a competitive total compensation package that enhances your quality of life.
