Mechanical Design Engineer/Designer II, III, or Sr.

Position: Mechanical Designer/Design Engineer Shift:  On-site  Position Overview: Under moderate to broad direction, can execute designs to assist in developing ideas necessary for sales, engineering, and manufacturing within the company.  This includes producing safe, technically accurate, and cost-effective designs. Job Responsibilities:  Support sales, manufacturing, and engineering efforts by creating all necessary drawings, designs, and schematics Perform necessary calculations and material selection to ensure compliance with quality assurance (QA), sales, and customer requirements Check designs and verify all calculations to minimize errors, along with reviewing junior designers/engineers work to ensure high quality Perform and/or evaluate simulations, calculations, etc. to test and validate designs, documentation as required Manage drawing database – new drawings, revisions, distribution, and archiving Create design files, Bill of Materials, calculations/calculators as required Maintain and update, as needed, all ISO, ASME, API, and other QA requirements Continual expansion of knowledge pertaining to engineering and design quality standards and necessary documentation within engineering department Perform final engineering and QA checks prior to shipment of product to ensure compliance with sales, engineering, and QA requirements May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor Core Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience, with advanced manufacturing experience/knowledge.  Minimum of 3 years’ experience in valve design required
