The University of Miami UHealth Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Nursing & Clinical Education – Acute Care & Emergency Readiness, The Manager, Nursing & Clinical Education – Acute Care & Emergency Readiness provides leadership and oversight for acute care nursing education, emergency readiness, and designated system-wide clinical education programs. The role supports evidence-based professional development, clinical competency, and emergency readiness across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Provides leadership and oversight for nursing education and competency initiatives across inpatient clinical areas. Oversees and supports American Heart Association (AHA) training programs, including BLS, ACLS, and other applicable resuscitation education to promote standardized training and organizational readiness. Oversees simulation-based education and training ensuring activities address clinical competency, emergency readiness, patient safety, and identified organizational learning needs. Uses quality, safety, and clinical outcome data to identify educational needs and develop targeted interventions. Supports educational initiatives that advance Magnet® standards, nursing-sensitive quality outcomes, evidence-based practice, and professional development. Department-Specific Qualifications: ICU/Critical Care nursing experience is required. A Master’s Degree in Nursing or a relevant healthcare-related field is strongly preferred. Nursing professional development, clinical education, competency assessment, and/or preceptorship experience is strongly preferred. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Knowledge of Magnet® principles, nursing-sensitive quality indicators, patient safety, and evidence-based practice is preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead educational initiatives across multiple inpatient clinical areas. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Graduate of an Master Degree in Nursing or related Nursing field. Experience: Minimum Three (3) - Five (5) years nursing experience including training and preceptorship.
