The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and developing the maintenance team, including technicians and contractors, to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all facility and production equipment. This role owns the eMaint CMMS, oversees preventive maintenance (PM) planning and execution, drives reliability engineering initiatives, ensures compliance with electrical safety and LOTO programs, and leads RCCA activities for high‑impact downtime and recurring failures. The Maintenance Manager promotes a proactive maintenance culture focused on safety, uptime, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians to ensure technical competency, engagement, and a strong safety culture. Assign daily work, manage scheduling, and oversee contractor performance and compliance. Foster teamwork, accountability, and clear communication across maintenance and operations. Maintenance Operations Administer and optimize the eMaint CMMS , ensuring accurate asset data, PM schedules, work order management, and maintenance history. Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs. Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance activities to reduce equipment downtime and maximize availability. Oversee spare parts inventory management, procurement, and cost control. Reliability Engineering & Problem Solving Analyze equipment performance, failure trends, and maintenance data to drive reliability improvements. Lead and perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for high‑impact downtime events, chronic failures, or recurring issues. Partner with engineering and operations to implement corrective actions and long‑term solutions. Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Requirements Manage and enforce the facility’s electrical safety program, including NFPA 70E compliance, training, and PPE requirements. Oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program compliance through procedure development, auditing, and ongoing training. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA requirements and site EHS policies. Promote hazard identification, risk mitigation, and a proactive safety culture within the maintenance team. Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Track, analyze, and report key maintenance metrics , including: PM completion rate Work order backlog and aging Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) Equipment uptime and availability Maintenance labor utilization Contractor performance Maintenance costs vs. budget Use data‑driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and strengthen reliability. Present performance metrics to leadership and champion continuous improvement using lean methodologies and reliability tools. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. Proficiency with eMaint CMMS and maintenance data analysis tools. In‑depth understanding of LOTO, electrical safety programs, and OSHA regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive sustained improvement across maintenance operations. Qualifications We Prefer 5+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering roles within a manufacturing environment; 2+ years in leadership preferred.
