LVN Telemetry

Overview Department: Telemetry Employment Type: Full Time  Shifts Available: Nights  Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00pm to 7:00am  Location: Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch, TX We are seeking a Telemetry LPN, sometimes referred to as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays an important role our hospital by providing hands-on care to patients in the Telemetry department. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):  Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation  Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and toileting  Assist with turning, positioning, and ambulating patients to prevent bedsores and promote recovery  Observe patients for side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to an RN or physician  Monitor patients for changes in condition (e.g., pain levels, skin color, or behavior)  Recognize early warning signs of complications and report them to an RN or physician  Prepare patients for tests or procedures by ensuring they understand the process and are physically ready  Teach patients and families about basic post-discharge care, such as wound care, medication schedules, and managing chronic conditions  Work under the supervision of RNs and report directly to them regarding patient care issues   Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:  Health, dental, and vision insurance options  Paid vacation, sick time and holidays  Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options  Employer 401K options  Tuition reimbursement options   Life, disability, and other insurance options  Many other amazing benefits  Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/   Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
