Lil Aggies and ABC Classroom Aide (Brigham City, Utah)

Overview The Up to 3 program is seeking a part time employee to help with classroom activities, set up, clean up, and overall classroom functioning for children under three with disabilities. Must be available Tuesday and Friday 9:30 am to 11:30 am and 2 Thursdays per month from 9:00 to 11:00 year round. Every other Thursday the class is ABC Autism parent and child class. The class on Tuesday and Friday is a Lil Aggies preschool. Class is held in Brigham City, Utah. Responsibilities The selected candidate will help with classroom activities, set up, clean up, and overall classroom functioning for children under the age of three with disabilities, while following classroom procedures and instructions. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Experience with young children. Preferred Qualifications Experience with young children WITH DISABILITIES Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Effective listener and communicator. Dependable Able to maintain strict confidentiality. Cultural sensitivity, and an ability to build rapport with a diverse population. Willingness to learn new skills or techniques. Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments. Indoors, in an office space, event space, or public space are protected from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. Outdoors, incumbents may not be protected from weather conditions and may be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold. Incumbents may nearly continuously sit and often use repetitive hand motion (such as typing). Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
