Position Overview
The Legal Real Estate Coordinator is a key member of the Dutch Bros Legal team. This role is primarily responsible for providing support to attorneys and paralegals on all real estate matters related to leasing, development, transactions, and ancillary agreements.
The Legal Real Estate Coordinator will also work closely in partnership with the Legal Department's paralegal and administrative staff to support internal attorneys and paralegals managing a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to:
Commercial agreements
Intellectual property filings
Marketing initiatives and brand protection
Employment matters
Franchise matters
Mergers and acquisitions
Due diligence
Litigation
General corporate compliance work
Key Result Areas
Real Estate Support
Manage the Legal Real Estate email inbox and input matters into Smartsheet.
Request current title and survey reports for active lease transactions as directed by attorney and paralegal staff.
Assign leases to outside counsel by distributing LOIs and related title and survey reports as directed.
Organize, maintain, and manage storage of all real estate transaction documents, drafts, and executed agreements.
Review lease execution packages for accuracy.
Process execution of leases and other agreements through DocuSign.
Distribute fully executed leases to internal stakeholders.
Track lease statuses, tasks, and deadlines.
Process and track legal real estate invoices.
Support drafting and review of lease, construction, and ancillary documents, including:
CC&Rs
SNDAs
Estoppels
Memoranda
Amendments
Rent commencement certificates
Easements
Assist with conference registrations, bar dues, travel arrangements, and reimbursements for real estate legal staff.
General Legal Department Support
Support management of Legal Department email inboxes and calendars.
Create and distribute matters and related requests.
Intake and coordinate contracts, documents, projects, and legal matters.
Assist with distribution of incoming legal mail and email, including service of process communications.
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute notes and action items.
Support invoice processing and tracking.
Manage outgoing shipping and mailing requests.
Organize and maintain legal filing systems.
Ensure proper retention and organization of legal and real estate records.
Maintain file organization according to department filing and naming protocols.
Provide proactive administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
Coordinate multi-department projects and communicate objectives, updates, and timelines.
Generate project, matter, and contract reports.
Track statuses, deadlines, and key milestones.
Manage document signature collection, including manual, notary, and electronic signatures.
Assist with administration of outside counsel relationships and related matters.
Utilize and maintain matter and contract management systems.
Assist with development and compliance of internal processes and procedures.
Support implementation and improvement of legal systems and tools.
Perform administrative duties necessary to support department operations.
Complete special projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED.
2 years of legal experience with a corporation, law firm, government agency, or similar organization.
Demonstrated "humble, hungry, and smart" mindset.
Basic understanding of:
Attorney-client privilege

Basic knowledge of law office operations, practices, and procedures.

Location Requirement:
This role is located in Tempe, AZ. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Physical Requirements
In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions
Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings
Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels
Mobility : Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches. Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds
