Description of Work The primary purpose of this position is to manage and lead comprehensive treatment, prevention, and recovery support services for women and their children in substance use treatment facilities. This role is designed to enhance flexibility in delivering family-based services for pregnant and postpartum women diagnosed with substance use disorders, including opioid use disorders. The Lead will provide strategic oversight, ensuring the effective implementation of service models that promote treatment engagement, retention, and access to FDA-approved medication-assisted treatment. This role also facilitates collaboration with state substance abuse agencies to promote coordinated and efficient service delivery. The Lead will provide substance use disorders programs and policy coordination – including identification of grants and other funding opportunities, collect information on grant application and ensure timely submission, liaising with grantor during application process, coordinating press releases for grant awards with DHHS communications team. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including state agencies, healthcare providers, community organizations, and advocacy groups to ensure effective delivery of services. Oversee and manage the implementation of comprehensive treatment, prevention, and recovery support services. Develop and implement strategies to enhance service delivery for pregnant and postpartum women and their children. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $60,881-$106,544 Recruitment Range: $60,881.00-$85,000  Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of issues related to substance use disorders, particularly as they affect women. Knowledge and experience in the statewide implementation of maternal substance use disorder services and policies.  Working knowledge of behavioral health services and systems.  Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other state agencies, providers of services, advocacy groups and other organizations.  Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, other state officials and the general public Position is funded in part through federal funds.
