Job Description Summary Help Shape the Future of MRI We're looking for a Lead Sourcing Engineer to help bring next-generation MRI technologies to market. In this role, you'll lead sourcing strategy for MR New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, partnering closely with engineering and suppliers from the earliest stages of product development. Working at the intersection of engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing, you'll influence product design, drive early supplier involvement, and accelerate supplier-led innovation to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role with the opportunity to directly impact technology development, supplier strategy, and successful product launches. Location: Florence, SC (Hybrid, 3+ days onsite) Travel: Up to 20% (Domestic) Relocation: Available Sponsorship: Not available for this role Job Description What You'll Do Lead sourcing strategy and execution for MR NPI programs, from concept through production launch. Partner with engineering teams to influence design decisions, manufacturability, cost, and supply chain readiness. Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers that meet technical, quality, and business requirements. Drive early supplier involvement (ESI) and bring supplier technologies, capabilities, and innovation into product development. Support design reviews, value engineering, should-cost analysis, and supplier negotiations. Balance innovation, quality, delivery, and cost in sourcing decisions. Proactively mitigate technical, quality, and supply chain risks. Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and project management teams to ensure successful launches. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in sourcing, supplier engineering, manufacturing, product development, or supply chain within a technical environment. Strong understanding of engineering requirements, technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes. Experience working directly with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. Experience with complex electromechanical systems, assemblies, or medical devices. Experience in supplier development, cost optimization, value engineering, or supplier innovation initiatives.
