In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and verification of engineering tools, software applications, and reusable software libraries that support aerospace software development. You will work across both front-end and back-end technologies , developing solutions using JavaScript, C, and C++ . As an independent contributor, you will take technical ownership of assigned features and components while collaborating with software engineers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders. This role also provides an opportunity to mentor engineers, strengthen team capabilities, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to engineering excellence within a global aerospace organization. What You Will Do Work as an independent contributor in the design, development, enhancement, and verification of software tools, applications, and reusable software libraries. Design, develop, modify, document, and test software applications and engineering tools using JavaScript, C, and C++ . Develop robust and user-focused front-end applications and reliable back-end services and components . Ensure effective interaction between front-end, back-end, databases, libraries, and other application layers. Understand and manage interfaces, dependencies, and interactions between software applications, libraries, databases, and external hardware/software components . Apply sound software design, debugging, and problem-solving techniques to resolve complex technical challenges. Collaborate with software engineers, architects, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members and help strengthen technical capabilities across the offshore engineering team. Support the software engineering team in executing planned development activities and project commitments. Identify and proactively manage dependencies, technical issues, risks, and constraints , escalating them early to minimize project impact. Ensure software development follows applicable engineering processes, coding standards, quality practices, and configuration-management guidelines . Take technical ownership of assigned features, software components, and project milestones , ensuring timely delivery. Contribute to continuous improvement of software development and engineering practices. Promote a strong culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, and professional work ethics within the team. Qualifications You Must Have 3+ years of experience in software application development. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology , or a related field. Strong hands-on experience in: JavaScriptCC++ Experience developing front-end and back-end applications . Experience developing software tools and reusable software libraries . Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using Visual Studio and other development/debugging tools. Good understanding of:Software architectureSystem software conceptsOperating systemsBinary executablesDebugging information Experience with software configuration management and change-control processes. Qualifications We Prefer Experience working in aerospace, avionics, safety-critical, or regulated software development environments . Exposure to ARINC 661, ARINC 429, or AFDX specifications.
