This internship offers hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support national security and advanced technology initiatives.   Interns will work alongside experienced professionals on real-world assignments, gaining exposure to technical and operational challenges while building valuable skills and industry knowledge. Whether your interests are in engineering, software, cyber, data analytics, science, business, or mission operations, KBR provides an environment where you can learn, contribute, and grow.   What You'll Do   As a KBR Defense & Intel Intern, you may have opportunities to:   Support engineering, technology, cybersecurity, intelligence, operations,   logistics , science, business, or program management activities.   Assist   with research, analysis, design, development, testing, integration, or process improvement efforts.   Contribute to projects that address real-world customer challenges and mission requirements.   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and deliver project objectives.   Analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate findings to project teams and leadership.   Participate in technical reviews, team meetings, and professional development activities.   Gain exposure to industry tools, technologies, and best practices relevant to your area of study.   Present project outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders at the conclusion of the internship.   Why Join KBR?   Gain hands-on experience supporting impactful defense, intelligence, space, and federal missions.    Work alongside experienced engineers, scientists, analysts, technologists, and business professionals.    Receive mentorship and guidance from industry experts.    Build professional networks across KBR and the broader mission-focused community.    Develop technical, leadership, and communication skills that support long-term career success.   Experience a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work environment.   Explore future career opportunities within KBR.   Basic Qualifications   Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.   Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Master's, or PhD student.   Pursuing a degree in a relevant field, including but not limited to:    Engineering (all disciplines)   Computer Science   Software Engineering   Cybersecurity   Data Science   Information Technology   Mathematics   Physics   Business Administration   Supply Chain Management   Program Management   Other related technical or business disciplines   Strong analytical, problem-solving, and   critical-thinking   skills.   Effective verbal and written communication skills.   Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.   Demonstrated initiative, leadership potential, and willingness to learn.   Proficiency   with common computer applications and collaboration tools.   Preferred Qualifications   Prior internship, research, project, laboratory, leadership, or relevant work experience.   Strong academic performance and   demonstrated   commitment to personal and professional growth.   Interest   in defense, intelligence, space, cybersecurity, engineering, technology, or government mission support.   Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.   Possess   a current   TS/SCI security clearance.   Security Requirements   Some internship opportunities may require the ability to obtain and   maintain   a U.S. Government security clearance. Eligibility requirements and clearance levels will vary based on the specific position, customer, and work location.     Work Schedule   Full-time internship opportunities are available during the summer.   Part-time opportunities may be available during the academic year based on business   need   and location.   Compensation   $18 - $35 / hour   The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, degree type and area of study, and year in school.   Career Development   The KBR Defense & Intel Internship Program is designed to provide meaningful work experience, expand professional networks, and develop the next generation of industry leaders.
