What You Will Do: Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications for product. Recommend solid engineering solutions for design problems and coordinates implementation with Production Manager and Design Engineering. Supports evaluation of production and design changes. Analyze and develop justification for capital equipment using sound cost/payback analysis. Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for accurate equipment needs. Identify new approaches that will reduce staffing and capital requirements. Aid in eliminating/reducing defects and improve yields. Perform root cause analysis and take corrective action to resolve failures, and defects. Aid in the development of solutions to difficult technical problems of broad scope with oversight/guidance from peers or managers. Implement, and maintain methods and processes in the manufacture of complex sub-assembly and top-level designs. Provide technical assistance and training support to floor technicians and operators. Maintain documentation in current configuration and oversees accurate change management procedures for all changes to product and processes. Resolves conflicts in documentation and process definition. Possess and continually develop complete knowledge of Machines and tools necessary to build, rework, repair product. Support producibility projects to reduce support costs. Produce, and evaluate Failure Mode Effect Analysis and machine capability studies Produce and maintain value stream maps Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. At least 1 year of relevant experience working in a manufacturing facility Qualifications We Prefer: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.   Experience with SolidWorks. LEAN manufacturing experience.  Experience with equipment and factory layouts.  Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.   Proficient in applying PFMEA and Value Stream Mapping to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
