You will have the unique opportunity to impact patient care across the entire health system providing interpreting and translation services. Using your expertise, you will serve as a culturally sensitive liaison between patients, their families and clinical staff. Your role is to ensure questions and concerns are answered and clarified through phone calls, remote technology or in-person sessions. Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Completion of 40-hour Healthcare Interpreter training certification required 1 year of experience interpreting and/or translating in a healthcare setting preferred Proficient in Medical Terminology in both English and target language required Licenses and Certifications One of the following is preferred CCHI - Certified Healthcare Interpreter NBCMI - National Board Certified Medical Interpreter Department Specific Requirements: Successfully complete contracted language provider orientation Disclaimers • Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.• If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
