Clear Channel Outdoor                                                                                                       Job Summary: The General Ledger Accountant’s primary function is to complete all assignments necessary to ensure an accurate and timely monthly accounting close and to maintain an analysis of general ledger accounts to ensure each is fairly stated.                                                                                                      Job Responsibilities Prepare and submit general ledger journal entries to Corporate by the accounting close deadline to close the books each month accurately and timely. Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned business units (domestic and Caribbean) to ensure each account is fairly stated. Analyze and interpret airport lease agreements to ensure compliance with our reporting and payment requirements and adhere to contractual and corporate deadlines. Work with Corporate to ensure accurate reporting of LOC’s, Bonds, property tax, and sales and use taxes in the U.S. and Caribbean as needed. Preparation of ad hoc analysis as requested (ACS, ACDBE, Fixed Assets, etc.). Support annual budget process. Assist with internal & external audits by providing necessary financial data, supporting documentation, and explanations for audit inquiries. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Job Qualifications Education and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent field required experience. CPA preferred. Work Experience Two (2) + years of general ledger accounting & account analysis experience. Skills Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Employee must have the ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and complete tasks requiring repetitive use of hands.  Employee must have the ability to lift and move items up to fifteen (15) pounds.  Employee must have the ability to see written documents and computer screens, and to adjust focus.
