Full-Time Optician - CA - Stockton/Modesto

Locations: Stockton, California & Modesto, California | Schedule: 4 days per week | Compensation: $27 per hour + mileage reimbursement | Position Type: Full-Time  About The Opportunity Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking an Optician to support senior outpatient clinics in Central Valley California. This is a great opportunity for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and ready for a change from the traditional retail optical setting. In this role, you’ll help bring quality vision care directly to senior citizens and underserved communities in a structured, mission-driven healthcare environment. You’ll support optometry care in senior-focused outpatient clinics, helping patients who may have limited access to essential vision services. This is not a high-volume retail model. We focus on quality care, meaningful patient interaction, and strong support for the providers and clinical teams we serve. There may also be opportunities to cross-train in additional clinical areas such as audiology and podiatry. What You’ll Do Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, including {{LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT, IF APPLICABLE}} Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability Qualifications 2+ years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Technician preferred Experience serving geriatric or senior populations preferred Strong understanding of OSHA and infection control standards Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required Able to lift and transport equipment, typically 25–50 pounds Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screening Professional, punctual, and able to work independently A heart for serving seniors and underserved communities What You’ll Get $27 per hour Mileage reimbursement Consistent schedule with no nights or weekends Supportive, mission-driven work environment Independence, variety, and the opportunity to make a real impact The fulfillment of helping bring essential care directly to those who need it most Apply Today If you’re a committed Optician or Optometric Technician looking for meaningful work outside of the traditional retail optical setting, we’d love to connect.
