Who are we hiring?   The Food Vendor is responsible for selling food and beverages throughout Madison Square Garden’s Arena in a friendly and courteous manner.  What will you do?   Selling food, and beverages in various locations throughout the arena on a commission basis  Will be walking and carrying heavy items up and down stairs  Provides excellent customer service to guests and serves food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous and  accurate manner  Checks identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages  Prior sales experience is a plus  Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site. What do you need to succeed?  Strong communication and customer service skills, be able to handle transactions without a register and be comfortable with heights  This position also requires you to be comfortable with heavy lifting, able to complete daily and nightly inventory and must be flexible to rotate positions within a shift  Knowledge of NYC Board of Health Food Handling rules is a plus  TEAM certification is a plus  Must be of legal age according to NYS regulations to serve alcohol  This position works nights, weekends and holidays  Special Requirements  Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.  Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 30 lbs.  Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment .  Hourly Pay Range $17 — $17 USD At MSG, we recognize the importance of upskilling employees’ talents and strengths so they can drive their careers forward.
