Description of Work Start your journey towards success! The ABC Commission in Raleigh, NC is currently accepting applications for Finance Manager. This position leads and supervises the three‑position finance team in the coordination, assembling, and preparation of monthly reports tracking bailment fees, surcharge fees, incidental fees, and past‑due statuses. Duties also include: •Perform general reviews to ensure compliance with the Office of the State Controller and the Internal Auditors’ Office. •Oversee preparation and maintenance of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial records and reports. •Complete Stand‑Alone Financials and the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. •Manage ABC Commission fixed‑asset inventory and leased DOA vehicles. •Coordinate the creation of new fiscal policies and procedures and update existing ones. •Apply extensive knowledge of fiscal functions across all sections of the ABC Commission. •Formulate and articulate language for Standard Operating Procedures that ensure compliance with NCDPS requirements. •Establish annual work plans for three positions and conduct annual performance reviews. The primary purpose of this administrative, professional, and supervisory role is to support the ABC Commission in effectively managing the agency’s financial operations. The position supervises the preparation of annual financial statements and ensures all required documentation is completed and submitted to the Controller’s Office accurately and on schedule. This role supports the ABC Commission’s financial operations by overseeing annual financial statements, core accounting activities, and internal control evaluations. Salary Recruitment Range: $63,927.00-$99,194.00 DPS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals.
