This information is critical to support business decisions via identification and analysis of key business drivers and evaluation of cost/benefit analysis and business improvement options.   The Financial Analyst I is the central player in the reporting and analysis of financial results and working with the financial leadership team . In addition, the Financial Analyst I assists to translat e business objectives into strategies, actions and targets applicable to the management and finance team that deliver short-term objectives (month to month) but also provide a realistic foundation to achieving longer-term objectives (a year or more ahead).  This is a Full Time, Hybrid Role. Primary Duties & Responsibilities *   Ensure the leadership team is provided with timely, high quality and accurate financial information and advice regard ing actual, forecast, and budgeted results. This information is critical to support business decisions via identification and analysis of key business drivers and evaluation of cost/benefit analysis and business improvement options. Prepare financial evaluations, prepare and manage budgets, prepare business plan s, report on performance to plan, communicat e and educat e about key business results , stewardship of assets and risk management activities, and submit non-plant capital expenditure s   Manages product costing and inventory valuation for multiple plant sites Provide impromptu financial analysis and detail in a very quick turn -around environment under intense pr essure with multiple priorities   Manages product costing and inventory valuation for multiple plant sites   Deliver continuous improvement in the quality of the management and financial reporting systems and output , identifying opportunities to extract additional value and reduce business complexity .   Support via the preparation of material for presentation and discussion with company’s leadership team – m onthly b usiness r eview process   Improve stewardship of the regional business assets by ensuring adequate controls and adherence to policies and standards   Ensure adherence to the regional Delegation of Authority   ongoing   Key Relationships   Internal:   Financial Planning & Analysis Manager   Sr. Financial Analyst   VP Finance   Line/Area Manager(s)   Plant manager(s)   Commercial Team   Peers   External:   Key customers   External audit   Internal audit   Consultants for Department of Commerce filings   Education & Experience Qualifications   Minim um :   Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related area   3 years of experience in an accounting role with emphasis in financial analysis role   Accounting d egree   1 year working with an ERP system   Preferred :   MBA degree   3+ years of experience in a cost accounting role   5+ years of experience in a relevant role   Certified Public Accountant certification   Construction and Manufacturing operations experience   Experience with SAP   Skills & Competencies   Dealing with ambiguity   Organizational a gility – Connect and communicate across the business     Drive for c ommercial o utcomes by applying business acumen   Drive improved performance and change   Contribute to s trategy   Leverage digital awareness for continual finance transformation   Apply functional /technical skills   Manage r isk and g overnance   Managing through systems   Customer focus   Presentation skills   Planning   Intellectual horsepower   Problem solving   Initiative   Additional Information The preceding job responsibilities and tasks were designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this job.  It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all job duties and responsibilities required of associates assigned to this job.  Associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned.  Additional job competencies, individual goals, and performance measurements are set at the department level.
