Facilities Technician GVC II | Bronx, NY Full-Time | $17.00/hr Keep Our Facility Running Safely and Reliably GVC II is looking for a hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of our Bronx facility. This role is a strong fit for someone with broad maintenance experience who is comfortable troubleshooting and repairing a variety of building systems. You’ll work across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and other facility components while helping ensure our location remains safe, functional, and well maintained. What You’ll Do Troubleshoot and repair facility components and systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and other building equipment Inspect and test equipment and perform preventive maintenance Complete mechanical work and minor repairs on facility systems and equipment Install new components and systems as needed Perform general facility maintenance and upkeep Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas Properly handle and dispose of non-hazardous and hazardous liquid and solid waste Operate tools and equipment safely and appropriately Identify maintenance concerns and communicate repair needs to management Support additional facility-related projects and maintenance needs as assigned What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent 1–2 years of maintenance or repair experience preferred Broad knowledge of general maintenance and repair work Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs across multiple facility systems Experience safely operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Strong focus on workplace safety Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed Electrician or welding license/certification is a plus Why Join GVC II?
