Facilities & Kaizen Engineering Internship-Summer 2027

AUMOVIO is seeking a Facilities & Kaizen Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2027 at our automotive manufacturing facility in New Braunfels, Texas. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while developing a broad understanding of Facilities Engineering. This internship is a full-time, on-site opportunity designed to provide meaningful learning experiences and professional development. This internship position is scheduled to last 12 weeks in length from May 17, 2027-August 6, 2027.  RESPONSIBILITIES Drive safety, quality, productivity, cost, and Kaizen improvements for the plant. Participate in problem solving activities employing various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, 8 D, Cause and Effect, and Fishbone Diagrams, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action. Assist in a variety of facilities setup and improvement projects. Support other Engineering duties and projects as assigned. OUTCOMES The Facilities & Kaizen Engineering Intern can expect to gain practical experience in a broad range of Industrial Engineering focused functions including: Gain deep knowledge in different technical aspects of continuous improvement (Kaizen). Required Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other related studies. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Prior internship or work experience in Engineering field or automotive manufacturing.  Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
