Shifting away from strictly maintenance and engineering, this role is highly operations-focused—centered on proactive facility management, seamless vendor coordination, and delivering an exceptional workplace experience. You will ensure that St. John's Terminal operates at the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and operational excellence. What your day-to-day will look like: Facility Operations & Maintenance Independently manage the complete workflow of maintenance work orders (often via a CMMS), ensuring SLA compliance and operational excellence across the site. Conduct daily floor walks and comprehensive site walkthroughs to proactively identify maintenance needs, ensure pristine cleanliness, and verify workspace readiness before issues are ever reported by end-users. Proactively schedule, oversee, and drive repairs, routine maintenance, and minor works from initiation to completion. Autonomously problem-solve operational challenges by leveraging a foundational understanding of technical property systems, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), fire protection, and life safety. Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex facility issues, ensuring swift resolution with minimal disruption to the business. Customer Experience & Stakeholder Management Act as a visible and responsive ambassador for the facilities team, engaging with employees during regular space walkthroughs to capture real-time feedback and address minor workplace requests on the spot. Take full ownership of client contract requirements and proactively act on client feedback to improve overall workplace experience. Build strong, collaborative relationships with building occupants, clients, and cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Mail, Security). Provide guidance, peer support, or training to junior facilities staff or front-desk reception teams as needed. Vendor & Event Management Provide clear direction and coordination to a diverse network of vendors, ensuring strict accountability for all contracted deliverables and service levels. Assist in the sourcing, procurement, and seamless onboarding of new vendors and services. Lead the logistics, coordination, and facility preparations for complex onsite events, executive meetings, and town halls. Monitor vendor performance metrics and conduct regular check-ins to ensure quality control. Financial & Administrative Coordination Generate and process Work Orders (WOs) and review vendor invoices for accuracy before approval. Assist with budget tracking, monthly variance reporting, and expense forecasting for the site. Maintain facility metrics and dashboards, generating regular reports on work order volumes, costs, and operational trends. Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement Ensure daily operations strictly adhere to local Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and core contract management principles. Actively identify opportunities for process optimization and present actionable operational changes to the Manager. Participate in site safety committees, assist in emergency response planning, and help coordinate routine safety drills. Location: St. John's Terminal Work Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Salary: 69,000 to 75,000 This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Expected compensation for this position: 69,000.00 – 75,000.00 USD per year Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
