This position will work with the maintenance department to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and modify equipment as assigned to support a continuous improvement culture. How You Will Make A Difference: Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools Design and construct templates and fixtures, using the required tools Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes Proficient in Math and can accurately read measuring devices Familiar with schematic reading, electrical, pneumatics, and general building Ability to work independently Knowledge in welding, (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW) Knowledge in braze welding Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including ability to grasp, manipulate and assemble parts and components that are often very small, and/or heavy Your Background: Associates or technical degree in welding or related field and 1 year of experience Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities Protected veterans and qualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
