As a cashier, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive shopping experience by welcoming customers, providing excellent service, and ensuring every transaction is handled accurately and efficiently. What You’ll Do Provide friendly and engaging customer service at the register and throughout the store Accurately process purchases, returns, and exchanges Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately and responsibly Promote HomeSense credit and loyalty programs Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area Assist with merchandise recovery and maintaining the sales floor when needed Help keep the store clean, organized, and ready for customers Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and loss-prevention standards Work cooperatively with fellow associates and management Assist with closing and end-of-day store routines Perform other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For Friendly, positive, and approachable personality Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable handling cash and operating a register Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment Dependable and punctual Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong evening availability Open availability Monday through Sunday is required Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred, but not required 18+ preferred Schedule & Holiday Availability Part-Time | Evening Cashier Holiday Season: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM Mid-November through Christmas: 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM / Closing Applicants must be comfortable working later evening hours and assisting with store closing.
