In this role, the intern will assist with safety programs, environmental compliance activities, employee training, data reporting, and continuous improvement projects. This opportunity is ideal for students looking to build practical EHS knowledge while contributing to a strong safety culture at nVent.   In this position, you will get to:   Safety Programs   Assist with workplace safety inspections and audits.   Support hazard identification and risk assessment activities.   Participate in incident investigations and corrective action tracking.   Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements.   Help maintain safety documentation, records, and metrics.   Assist in developing safety communications, training materials, and awareness campaigns.   Environmental Compliance   Support waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives.   Assist with environmental inspections and compliance activities.   Help maintain environmental permits, reports, and records.   Participate in pollution prevention and resource conservation projects.   Training & Employee Engagement   Support onboarding and safety orientation programs.   Assist with employee training coordination and recordkeeping.   Participate in safety committee meetings and employee engagement activities.   Promote a positive safety culture through employee interactions and observations.   Data Analysis & Reporting   Compile and analyze safety and environmental performance data.   Create dashboards, reports, and presentations for management review.   Track completion of corrective actions and improvement projects.   Support annual and monthly EHS reporting requirements.   Internship Details    Interns are paid $22 hourly for time worked    Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work    Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance may be offered a subsequent internship or full-time offer of employment with nVent    The EHS Internship will be based out of either our in Anoka, MN or Blaine, MN facilities.   What You Will Experience in this Position:    Your experience as an intern goes beyond the day-to-day of your role. Gain exposure to nVent professionals at every level who will act as formal and informal mentors during your internship.   YOU HAVE:    Required Qualifications:    Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in:   Environmental Health & Safety    Occupational Safety    Environmental Science    Industrial Hygiene    Engineering    Public Health    Related field   Ability to complete a 12-week Full-Time Summer internship from June – August 2027 in Anoka, MN or Blaine, MN.   Graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028.   Candidates applying for nVent's Co-Op and Internship Program must have current work authorization and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. nVent does not provide work authorization sponsorship.    Strong verbal and written communications skills   Excellent attention to detail and organization skills   Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization   Energy to listen, desire to learn and ability to be resilient and adaptable through change   Strong work ethic and personal responsibility to see things through to completion   Preferred Qualifications:    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint   Demonstrated leadership experience    Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety principles.    Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.    Experience with data analysis and reporting.    Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial experience.   WE HAVE: A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world th
