Headquartered in New London, North Carolina, Fiberon is part of Fortune Brands Innovations, which includes world-class brands such as Thermatru, Moen, and Master Lock.   JOB DESCRIPTION   The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the composite decking manufacturing facility. This role ensures safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure, supports troubleshooting efforts, and contributes to preventive maintenance programs.  YOUR ROLE   Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with local codes and safety standards.   Troubleshoot electrical issues in production equipment, control panels, and facility systems.   Perform preventive maintenance on motors, drives, lighting, and power distribution systems.   Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.   Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades and installations.   Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable electrical safety regulations.   Maintain accurate records of electrical work, inspections, and repairs.   Assist with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.   Respond to emergency breakdowns and support after-hours maintenance as needed.   Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.  QUALIFICATIONS   High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or journeyman electrician license preferred.   Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.   Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and control circuits.   Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.   Familiarity with national and local electrical codes and safety standards.   Proficiency with electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.   Strong problem-solving and communication skills.   WORK ENVIRONMENT   Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to electrical systems, machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.   Requires standing, walking, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift.   May require overtime, weekend, or on-call work based on operational needs.  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   Strength & Endurance   Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing between 20 to 50 pounds independently (over 50 pounds with buddy lift), including cleaning equipment, dust collection systems, and raw materials.  Perform repetitive tasks such as sweeping, brushing, vacuuming, and operating tools like staple guns and banders.  Stand and walk for extended periods (8 to 12-hour shifts) during production and cleaning tasks.  Maintain stamina and focus to perform physically demanding tasks without fatigue.  Mobility & Flexibility   Bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crawl, and stretch to reach and clean various areas, inspect equipment, and align materials.  Climb ladders and work at heights to access dust accumulation and perform maintenance tasks.  Reach or work above shoulder level as needed.  Dexterity & Coordination   Use hand tools such as brushes, brooms, scrapers, and vacuums with precision and good hand-eye coordination.  Handle packaging materials, attach labels, and refill equipment accurately and efficiently.  Visual & Sensory Acuity   Good vision required to identify dust accumulation, inspect product quality, and monitor screens and labels.  Ability to perform color and defect inspections with close attention to detail.  Maintain balance and spatial awareness to ensure safety and stability in a dynamic environment.  Environmental Tolerance   Work in hot, noisy, dusty, and/or humid conditions for extended periods.  Tolerate exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and varying temperatures.  Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, respirators, safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves for long durations.  Communication & Safety   Communicate effectively with team members regarding defects, operational issues, and safety concerns.  Recognize personal physical limits and request assistance when tasks become too demanding.  BENEFITS    We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support your well-being, career growth, and work-life balance, including:  Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage   Flexible spending accounts and wellness programs   401(k) with company match and annual merit/incentive programs   Competitive salary and bonus structure   Career advancement opportunities and a supportive, collaborative work environment   Opportunities to make a meaningful impact on company operations   Scholarship program for children of employees   Charitable gift matching   Culture committed to work-life balance with flexible work options   Associate Purchase Program for all Fortune Brands products   Fortune Brands Outdoors & Security (Master Lock/Therma-Tru Doors/Fiberon/Larson) is an equal opportunity employer.
