Electrical Estimator

Overview Cummings Electrical is looking to hire an experienced Electrical Estimator in Dallas-Fort Worth. Responsibilities Review and evaluate project plans, specifications, bid documents, and other relevant materials to identify requirements for creating a bid proposal Calculate the cost of electrical construction based on a review and evaluation of available documents Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel from other departments to discuss and formulate estimates, and resolve issues Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding changes and adjustments to cost estimates Prepare estimates for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work Attend job site walk-throughs with other estimators as necessary to ensure proper handling of any field conditions that may potentially impact construction, bids, or pre-construction designs Request quotes for materials and equipment from vendors and equipment suppliers Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors Prepare bid documents, including specific scope letters for each project, evaluations with adjustments for buy-outs, labor rates, productivity, etc., and identify any inconsistencies, conflicts, or other issues Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience related to commercial and/or industrial projects Accustomed to estimating projects valued at $3 million and above Thorough knowledge of the electrical field with familiarity in materials and construction methods Knowledgeable of the NEC and local codes Experience using industry-leading estimating software  Qualifications How we support you:  At Cummings, we are motivated by achieving our goals and fostering a strong work ethic.
