Over 10- 12 weeks ,   you'll   assist   in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings while working closely with experienced engineers and consultants on real project work.   This paid internship offers hands-on experience in a mentored environment, supporting design, documentation, coordination, and project delivery while working within project budgets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. You will contribute to work serving commercial and institutional markets.   At a Glance   Location:   Greenwood Village, CO   Discipline:   Electrical   Markets:   Commercial; Institutional   Ownership:   100% employee-owned (ESOP)   Work Schedule:   full-time in office, 10- 12 week   summer program   Program Length:   10- 12 week   summer program   Sponsorship:   Not available   What You'll Do   Assist   with design portions of electrical systems projects according to code and IMEG standards.   Assist   with researching commercially available equipment and resources.   Assist   with client relations, project design notebook documentation, and permanent record files.   Assist   with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers.   Assist   with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while   monitoring   project design progress.   Assist   with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.   Assist   with preparing and issuing addendum information.   Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.   What You'll Bring   Required   Education   Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required   Required Skills/Abilities   Strong interest in design consulting   Previous   exposure to CAD and/or BIM software   Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook   Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups   Preferred   Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred   About the Team   The retrieved Billings records did not surface an education-heavy portfolio.
