EHS Manager

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager plays a critical role in advancing a safe, sustainable, and compliant manufacturing environment. This leader develops and executes strategic EHS initiatives that support both facility performance and broader business objectives while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards. The role partners across functions to strengthen EHS culture, improve associate engagement, and drive continuous improvement. This position also serves as the site leader for EHS management systems and governance processes. Promotes a strong culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization. Leads initiatives that improve EHS performance, reduce environmental impact, and support sustainable manufacturing practices. What You Will Do Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, environmental, health, safety, and company requirements. Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of the site EHS management system, including ISO 14001 implementation and ISO 45001 certification readiness. Develop and execute plant EHS initiatives, governance processes, performance metrics, and improvement strategies. Partner with cross-functional teams to increase workforce engagement, empowerment, and ownership of EHS performance. Establish leading and lagging key performance indicators and drive measurable improvements in EHS results. Foster a learning-focused culture through coaching, servant leadership, problem-solving, and human and organizational performance principles. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s degree, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent certifications are valued. 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and leading proactive EHS programs within a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of leadership experience implementing, managing, or sustaining ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or comparable EHS management systems. Demonstrated success improving EHS performance, partnering with regulatory agencies, and influencing stakeholders through strong communication, business acumen, and leadership skills. #LI-NA3 Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
