POSITION OVERVIEW Serving over 100,000 students annually, CUNY P20 Pathways sits at the intersection of the nation’s largest public university and school system—CUNY and the NYC Public Schools (NYCPS)—providing a unique platform for impact. CUNY's Office of P20 Pathways advances curriculum-focused initiatives that connect academic credentialing to industry-specific skill development. This work spans teacher credentialing programs that prepare educators to deliver industry-aligned, college-level coursework, as well as apprenticeship and student credentialing programs that build pathways into specific high-need industries and translates workplace-based learning into recognized academic credit. Reporting to the University Assistant Dean for P20 Pathways, the Manager of Dual Enrollment Credential and Course Alignment leads the development of new credentials and learning experiences, potentially courses, that support the expansion of college and career aligned dual credit courses. The role works directly with CUNY campuses and faculty, department chairs, and external training and credentialing partners to align learning pathways for students moving through a range of workforce, apprenticeship, and credentialing programs as well as programs for dual enrollment instructors. A central focus of the role is developing new credential pathways and aligning external training and credentialing programs with CUNY's existing Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) policies and processes, ensuring that competencies and skills gained through professional experience, on-the-job training, and workplace learning are recognized as academic credit. For example,  the development of a dual enrollment instructor micro-credential for NYCPS teachers; or the creation of a dual enrollment aligned youth apprenticeship model. Ultimately, the role is designed to make the transition from workforce, apprenticeship, and credentialing programs into CUNY degree pathways or instructor roles more seamless for students and prospective instructors. The ideal candidate brings strong working knowledge of workforce and apprenticeship training systems, higher education coursework related to work-readiness and career-connected learning, and specialized understanding of industry pathway design in high-need occupational fields. They are equally comfortable building relationships with CUNY faculty and department chairs and navigating the practical realities of NYCPS partnerships, civil service systems, and registered apprenticeship structures. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES Curriculum Design & Credentialing Alignment ● Support the design and oversee credentialing curricula in various industry-aligned disciplines, including undergrad and graduate-level coursework, pedagogy training, and mentored teaching or practicum experiences that prepare instructors to deliver college-level, industry-connected coursework. ● Partner with CUNY faculty and department chairs to build and formally approve coursework that meets departmental instructional and hiring standards. ● For some programs, coordinate recruitment, selection, and preparation of program participants in partnership with school and workforce partners, prioritizing high-need industry areas such as education, healthcare, technology, and sustainability/energy. ● Track curriculum milestones, training completion, and instructor or participant placement, and support the ongoing recruitment of new participant cohorts. Apprenticeship, Training & Industry Pathway Alignment ● Assess alignment between dual enrollment, early college, and workforce training coursework and the competencies required across apprenticeship and industry credentialing programs, identifying gaps and opportunities to strengthen alignment and reduce gaps at CUNY. ● Build and maintain a structured inventory of CUNY courses, programs, and degrees  mapped to occupation-specific and standardized competencies to support alignment and credit decisions. ● Develop and formalize models for Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), advanced standing, and course placement in alignment with the relevant CUNY policies and campus academic offices, ensuring participants in training, apprenticeship, and credentialing programs can access recognized academic credit. ● Develop training pathway frameworks and learning sequences that connect applied and on-the-job training to CUNY coursework, with a focus on emerging and high-need industries. ● Maintain and periodically update career pathway and industry mapping resources that help students, advisors, and partners understand the connection between training programs, credentials, and CUNY degree pathways, micro-credentials or courses. Student Transitions & Advising Support ● Support the development of advising tools and resources that help students and program completers translate training, apprenticeship, or credentialing experience into CUNY coursework and degree progress. ● Engage CUNY campuses to assess interest, capacity, and readiness to host and enroll s
