Dispatcher GVC II | Bronx, NY – Brush Avenue Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | $22.00/hr Join Our Transportation Operations Team GVC II is looking for a dependable, organized Dispatcher to support daily transportation operations at our Bronx location. This is a fast-paced operations role where you’ll help coordinate routes, communicate with drivers and monitors, respond to service issues, and make real-time adjustments to help keep transportation running safely and on schedule. What We Offer $22.00/hr Full-time, 40-hour workweek Paid vacation, personal days, and holidays Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) Company-paid life insurance $500 employee referral bonus Opportunities for advancement within transportation operations What You’ll Do Assist with daily routes, schedules, and driver assignments Coordinate and monitor radio and telephone traffic Communicate route changes, delays, call-outs, and other operational updates Work with drivers and monitors to resolve service issues Respond to customer questions and complaints and help identify solutions Serve as a liaison between customers, drivers, monitors, and local operations Help resolve pickup and drop-off issues in real time Maintain accurate dispatch logs, records, and operational documentation Coach and provide direction to drivers and monitors as needed Assist with backup driving when required Perform clerical and administrative duties related to transportation operations Support special projects and other operational needs as assigned Assist with supervision of daily transportation operations What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred Dispatch, transportation, terminal, or professional driving experience preferred Knowledge of radio dispatch procedures Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain organized and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Comfortable communicating by phone and two-way radio Basic computer skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to meet applicable DOT physical and drug-testing requirements when required for the position Why Join GVC II?
