Your Next Career Opportunity – Director, Office of the CIO The Director, Office of the CIO is responsible for supporting the CIO in the oversight, coordination, and execution of key IT management functions. This role provides structure and governance across IT portfolio management, PMO standards and reporting, budget and expense tracking quality assurance, budget and expense tracking, and IT communications.. The position serves as a central point of coordination to ensure CIO priorities, IT initiatives, business requests, and operational activities are managed with clarity, consistency, and accountability. The Senior Manager, Office of the CIO is responsible for supporting the CIO in the oversight, coordination, and execution of key IT management functions. This role provides structure and governance across IT portfolio management, PMO standards and reporting, budget and expense tracking, office administration, and IT communications. The position serves as a central point of coordination to ensure CIO priorities, IT initiatives, business requests, and operational activities are managed with clarity, consistency, and accountability. What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities IT Portfolio Management Oversee IT Project Portfolio and initiatives. Maintain and continuously improve the process for tracking CIO initiatives, including IT programs and projects. Serve as the intake gatekeeper for IT requests on behalf of the CIO, engaging requestors to clarify needs and ensure business requests are transparent, complete, and appropriately documented. Prioritize initiatives based on business value and resource capacity. Ensure timely follow-up, status tracking, and communication for requests throughout the demand lifecycle. Support business investment decisions. PMO Templates, Tools, and Reporting Promote consistent use of standardized project, status, and RAID templates across all IT project managers. Prepare and communicate consolidated project health reporting to the CIO. IT Budget and Expense Management Support the CIO in gathering, consolidating, and tracking IT department budget requests. Prepare year-to-date budget-to-forecast reporting for the department, with particular focus on software, consulting, SaaS, and data-related expenses. Partner with the IT Vendor Management Office Lead to track software renewal costs and license counts. IT Knowledge Base Standardize IT knowledge base templates to promote consistent formatting, structure, and quality across articles, procedures, and reference materials. Promote consistent presentation of articles and reference materials used throughout the department and organization. Track knowledge base article ownership, review cycles, and updates to ensure content remains accurate, current, and aligned with IT standards. IT Communications  Review, approve, and coordinate the release of IT communications distributed outside the IT organization. Ensure IT communications are clear, accurate, appropriately positioned, and aligned with CIO expectations. IT Quality Assurance Oversee pre-production quality assurance, system integration testing, user acceptance testing strategy, and related personnel for key CIO-designated programs. ERP Program Leadership Provide leadership support to the ERP Program Executive, an executive contractor assigned to the initiative, to help ensure the ERP Program is delivered on time, within budget, and at the expected level of quality.
