Reporting to the General Manager UK and based in London, you will play a critical leadership role in creating, shaping, and executing Moderna’s UK Market Access strategy. You will establish Moderna as a preferred partner across the UK healthcare ecosystem, combining thought leadership, deep market access expertise and strong stakeholder relationships to shape the environment for our expanding portfolio. As Moderna launches multiple products across vaccines, rare diseases and oncology, you will lead Pricing, Reimbursement & Market Access (PRA) strategy and execution, translating clinical, economic and customer insights into sustainable access solutions. Working across local and global teams, you will operate with strategic vision and executional agility—questioning convention, navigating ambiguity and moving rapidly to unlock opportunities for patients and the business. Here’s What You’ll Do: Serve as the UK Pricing, Reimbursement & Market Access (PRA) Lead, establishing and developing the country PRA strategy and agenda in close collaboration with local and Global teams. Partner closely with Regulatory, Medical, Communications, External Affairs and Marketing leads to build an integrated approach to Market Access and support Moderna’s broader UK strategy. Lead and develop through dotted-line management of the Health Economic Outcomes Research Manager, supporting the preparation of clinical and economic evidence required for reimbursement and pricing submissions. Guide the development of access and outcomes research studies that address identified evidence needs and strengthen Moderna’s value proposition. Lead all pricing and reimbursement negotiations with the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), bringing deep understanding of the UK healthcare ecosystem, HTA processes and pricing dynamics across vaccines and therapeutics. Develop robust business cases and proposals to secure the necessary internal approvals for access, pricing and reimbursement strategies. Lead Access engagement with key experts and stakeholders throughout the UK, building strong relationships at multiple levels within government, Public Health and other relevant organisations. Represent and communicate customer and stakeholder insights back into Moderna, ensuring external perspectives inform strategy, evidence development and execution. Identify and support opportunities for Moderna to demonstrate leadership in external forums and events covering vaccine development, access, pricing, immunization systems and deployment. Partner with external stakeholders to establish shared public policy goals, identify solutions through research and dialogue, and collaboratively engage policymakers, advocacy organisations, business groups and other stakeholders to support and enhance Moderna’s strategy and business objectives. Build and strengthen relationships with the Department of Health and Social Care and UK Health Security Agency, leveraging relevant established relationships and deep knowledge of the UK healthcare environment. Work effectively with local and global partners spanning Medical, Regulatory, Marketing, Clinical, Legal, Communications and Government Affairs, providing insight into key economic and reimbursement issues for Moderna’s products. Manage complex projects and third parties while balancing competing priorities, tight deadlines, ambiguity and a rapidly evolving external environment. Apply strong business judgement, analytical capability and consistently high ethical standards to strategic and executional decisions. Communicate complex market access, economic and reimbursement topics effectively to diverse audiences through oral presentations, written proposals, reports and correspondence. Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries in a Market Access role in UK, with vaccines experience a strong advantage Extensive business acumen, analytical skills and experience working with various local and global internal business partners (especially Medical, Regulatory, Marketing, Clinical, Legal, Communications and Government Affairs) to provide insight into key economic and reimbursement issues for key products.
