The Director, Vendor Management Office (VMO) Procurement leads G.E.H.A's enterprise vendor lifecycle from strategic sourcing and procurement through contract governance, performance management, renewal, and termination. This role is responsible for driving vendor performance, optimizing supplier relationships, mitigating risk, and ensuring vendor investments deliver measurable business value. The Director partners across the organization to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate complex agreements, oversee vendor governance, and advance the adoption of AI-enabled tools, automation, and analytics to improve procurement effectiveness and operational outcomes. SKILLS Duties and Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including sourcing, procurement, contracting, governance, performance management, and renewals. Develop and execute enterprise vendor management and procurement strategies aligned with business objectives. Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFIs, RFPs, vendor evaluations, and contract negotiations. Oversee vendor governance programs, performance scorecards, service level agreements (SLAs), and risk management activities. Drive vendor performance improvement initiatives and resolution of service, quality, or contractual issues. Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support organizational goals. Manage key supplier relationships and oversee complex commercial negotiations. Leverage AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve vendor insight, procurement efficiency, and decision-making. Evaluate emerging technologies, suppliers, and market trends to identify innovative solutions and business opportunities. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, contractual requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Maintain an understanding of applicable OPM requirements from a procurement perspective and implement sourcing, contracting, approval, documentation, and oversight processes that support compliance. Support OPM audits, inquiries, and reviews by coordinating relevant procurement records, approvals, contracts, vendor documentation, and evidence of established compliance processes. Lead and develop procurement and vendor management team members while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract management, or supplier governance. 5+ years of experience leading procurement, sourcing, or vendor management teams. Strong knowledge of procurement operations, vendor lifecycle management, contracting, negotiations, and third-party risk management. Experience managing vendor performance through metrics, scorecards, SLAs, and governance processes. Proficiency using AI-powered tools, automation platforms, analytics solutions, and procurement technologies to drive business results. Strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills. Ability to influence and collaborate across business, technology, legal, compliance, and finance functions. Preferred Qualifications MBA or other advanced degree. Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPCM, PMP, CIPS, or equivalent. Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or other highly regulated industries. Experience supporting federal contractors or government-regulated organizations. The target hiring range for this position is $144,792 - $183,170 USD. At G.E.H.A, the current maximum salary for this role is $204,104 USD. While initial compensation may vary based on experience
