If you're an experienced diesel mechanic or heavy-duty technician looking for competitive pay, a weekday schedule, a heated and air-conditioned shop, and company-paid manufacturer training, we'd like to talk.   Why Technicians Join Midwest Bus Sales   $25-$40/hour , based on experience   Bonus potential based on technician proficiency and efficiency     Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM     Heated and air-conditioned shop     Company-paid training on Freightliner, Cummins, Allison, and Detroit Diesel     3 weeks / 120 hours of PTO in your first year     Career advancement opportunities    Benefits and Perks   Medical, dental, and vision insurance    401(k) with company match    9 paid holidays annually     Disability and life insurance    Uniforms provided with laundry service    Company-sponsored lunches and events    The Job   You’ll diagnose, maintain , and repair buses and medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles in a dealership service environment.   What You Will Do   Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, safety checks, oil changes, and routine service    Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and other vehicle systems    Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools to troubleshoot vehicle issues    Communicate repair time and parts needs to the Service Writer    Complete repairs within established Standard Repair Times    Identify and document warrantable repairs    Complete repair orders, parts usage, and labor-time documentation    Review and complete repairs identified through vehicle inspection reports    Perform emergency service calls as needed    Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow established safety procedures    Continue developing your technical skills through training and education    What We Are Looking For   Previous diesel, medium/heavy-duty truck, bus, or related mechanical experience preferred    Familiarity with electrical, brake, suspension, hydraulic, or diesel systems    Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools    Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company MVR requirements     CDL with air-brake endorsement preferred, or ability to obtain     ASE or other relevant technical certifications preferred     Must own the tools required to complete assigned work     Basic computer skills for repair orders and service documentation    Experience level and compensation will be based on your background and demonstrated skills.   Build Your Career with Midwest Bus Sales   Since 1979, Midwest Bus Sales has provided bus sales, parts, and service support to customers across its markets.
