Move trucks in and out of the shop for maintenance Open repair orders and charge the appropriate parts to the repair order Perform tire inspections/appropriate paperwork to company standards Performs shop clean-up and housekeeping responsibilities as well as other miscellaneous related duties as assigned. Inspects and maintains basic vehicle/accessorial worthiness including proper fuel levels and tire air pressure, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment, and submits reports indicating the condition of equipment. Possesses and demonstrates the ability to perform assigned tasks in a manner that adheres to the company's Safety, Health, Environmental, and Security policies. Qualifications Must have a valid driver’s license 3 - 4 years of experience on 3 axle 18 wheelers Experience with scan tool operations and vehicle diagnostic Ability to provide own basic hand tools Basic computer skills Knowledge of chemical trailers is a plus Ability to read and comprehend service manuals Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the shop to repair and maintain company equipment Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and out-of-service parameters for tractors, trailers, and accessorial equipment. Knowledgeable in ELD tracking equipment, installation, troubleshooting, and operation. Experienced with PTO-driven air compressor installations, including Hydrochem systems. Extensive knowledge of Class 8 trucks and 18-wheelers, including diagnostics, preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and repairs. Strong knowledge of commercial truck tires, including inspection, maintenance, replacement, and troubleshooting.Experienced with laptop-based diagnostic systems and software, including: Detroit DiagnosticLink JPRO Allison DOC Cummins INSITE Skilled in diagnosing engine, transmission, electrical, and mechanical issues using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic equipment.
