Design Analyst

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States. Key Responsibilities Develop complete vehicle upfit specifications based on customer applications and operational requirements. Review and maintain specifications to ensure compatibility with OEM requirements, industry standards, and approved supplier offerings. Serve as a technical resource for vehicle specifications, upfit solutions, and related questions. Prepare accurate upfit quotations and pricing recommendations within established service level expectations. Recommend alternative solutions when faced with OEM, supply chain, or product limitations. Research opportunities to improve safety, performance, functionality, and overall value for customers. Maintain current knowledge of chassis specifications, model year changes, and vehicle technologies. Collaborate with sales, customers, engineering, suppliers, scheduling, and operations teams to ensure a smooth order and production process Understand customer fleet applications and recommend solutions that support their business objectives. Ensure quotes and vehicle specifications are complete, accurate, and ready for ordering. Stay informed on industry trends, products, and emerging technologies through OEM and supplier training. Support special projects and additional responsibilities as needed. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, fleet, manufacturing, or upfitting environments Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology,  Business, or a related field preferred. ASE certification, commercial vehicle industry training, or OEM product training is a plus. Experience reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects Proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience working with ERP, MRP, BOM, quoting, or configuration systems Knowledge of commercial vehicles, truck equipment, OEM specifications, and vehicle applications Understanding of OEM requirements, vehicle fitment standards, and FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) compliance requirements. Ability to evaluate vehicle and equipment compatibility while maintaining OEM and FMVSS compliance. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
