Must have skills : Node.js Good to have skills : AWS AI Services Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary As a Custom Software Engineering Lead specializing in Node.js and AWS Development, you will design, develop, and support scalable backend and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) applications for OTT and digital media platforms. This role involves technical design, API development, AWS integration, performance optimization, production support, stakeholder management, and team mentoring. Roles & Responsibilities Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Node.js and AWS development. Design and develop backend and BFF services using Node.js and TypeScript. Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs for catalog, metadata, entitlement, playback, and device management services. Develop API aggregation layers for Web, Mobile, Smart TV, and Set-Top Box platforms. Integrate AWS services, including Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and Kinesis. Define API contracts, data models, caching strategies, and resiliency patterns. Lead feature delivery from design through deployment. Develop maintainable and scalable TypeScript code with comprehensive automated testing. Manage dependencies, security patches, framework upgrades, and platform enhancements. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. Support deployments, release validation, and rollback activities. Provide effort estimations, technical guidance, and risk assessments. Mentor engineering teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Participate in on-call rotations and production support activities.
