Then this role may be the perfect fit.  What You Bring to Cambia:   Qualifications: The Accountant III will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred. The Accountant IV will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred. The Accountant Sr I would have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business and 6+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred. Skills and Attributes:   Accountant III Analytical thinking and sound judgment Ability to plan and organize own work Ability to work flexible hours during heavy workloads Thorough knowledge of PC and mainframe software and systems Ability to work effectively in a team environment at all levels Effective verbal and written communication with stakeholders Demonstrated application of accounting knowledge in relevant area of expertise (GAAP, SAP, CAS, FAR, FEHBAR as applicable) Ability to problem solve questions related to assigned functions Demonstrated in-depth accounting knowledge based on area of expertise Leadership abilities in a project setting and cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to plan and organize own work and projects with minimal supervision Ability to research and prepare ad-hoc reports Ability to research and report accounting guidance (existing and new transactions/guidance) Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making (highly desired) Additional Skills and Attributes for Accountant IV Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis and contract administration, including budgets, forecasting, internal controls, and treasury management Proficiency in drafting professional research papers on major company transactions based on applicable accounting guidance Ability to provide in-depth trend analysis on major operating accounts Leadership abilities such as managing projects, training staff, and leading cross-functional teams Demonstrated success working independently on complex, ad hoc projects for the department Additional Skills and Attributes Accountant Sr I Demonstrated application of in-depth and complex accounting knowledge (elevated from in-depth alone) Proven leadership abilities as demonstrated by successfully managing projects, leading cross-functional teams, training, and process improvement In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial analysis and contract administration, including budgets, forecasting, strategic plans, internal controls, treasury, and financial management Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work, projects, and the work of others with minimal supervision Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing in-depth analysis and recommendations using critical thinking and sound judgment Demonstrated ability in delivering effective presentations to stakeholders and/or leadership Demonstrated strong proficiency with relevant technology and applications, including Excel Exceptional verbal and written communications with all levels in the organization Ability to prepare team or department-wide trainings Demonstrated success with research and analysis, and review and writing of professional research papers Ability to delegate and assign responsibility for tasks, set clear objectives and measures, monitor work, assess progress, evaluate results, and provide feedback to others What You Will Do at Cambia:    Duties can include one or several of the following: Prepares monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and major sections of corporate and subsidiary financial statements (GAAP and SAP) Gathers, validates, and summarizes accounting and statistical data; prepares ad-hoc analyses as requested Maintains allocation tables within the cost accounting system using labor distribution, organization structure, line of business, and other statistical data Prepares and analyzes administrative cost and budget reports, including investigation of budget variances at department, division, and line of business levels Responsible for miscellaneous invoicing, marketing incentive worksheets, and cross-training on a variety of jobs to provide back-up capabilities Coordinates with other Plans and departments; provides internal and external auditors with reconciliations, schedules, and explanations; investigates unusual transactions Performs analysis on cost trends and allocations; proposes and implements updates to allocation tables; supports re-forecasts and budgeting Researches and reports on current and proposed accounting and auditing standards; prepares and presents regular and ad-hoc analysis to Management Coordinates administration and operation of complex financial systems; participates in design, development, and testing of financial system updates and enhancements Mentors new team members on Cambia poli
